About this blog

This blog is dedicated to my maternal Grandmother, Margaret Doyle James, who  never stopped talking about the ancestors. Here you will find my maternal and paternal sides of the family who trace their roots to Virginia, Iowa, Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri and Arkansas. As well as my husband's family who have roots in  Tennessee, Alabama, North and South Carolina. I wanted to share the history of our families, their stories, and hopefully connect with cousins.

I hope that you will follow me on my journey as I  trace my family and tell their story. And hopefully inspire others to do the same.

I'm sure I'm related to the Carr Family i read about on your blog.
My Grandmother was Gercy Carr, From Texas her Father name was Dave Carr, Dave brothers were John,Frank, and Lewis i think.they came from Oklahoma, Arkansas and maybe Mississippi.
I do know that Frank Carr married Eva Jones Carr. Eva was full blooded Native American.
If any of this sound familiar hit me up .
